Our quality printing is complemented by in-house DVD/CD manufacturing, material procurement, product assembly, and full-facility mailing and fulfilment services – all under one roof and in a completely secure environment.

We have over 20 years providing global blue-chip organisations with a fully outsourced solution in the provision of Documentation Kits, Country Kits, Sub Assemblies and Language Packs. Typically kits include combinations of printed items, CDs, DVDs, hardware and packaging. Thomson Litho has developed a foolproof system to manage complex bills of materials covering many languages and hardware combinations.

To provide scalable and flexible capacity Thomson Litho can easily switch on 24 hours, 7 days a week Kitting & Assembly operations carried out by our experienced team of Operators. Through a combination of manual and fully automated activities Thomson Litho therefore ensures the right component is inserted into the right kit for distribution to the right place.

Kitting & Assembly Operations
Kitting Facilities can run a 24 x 7 shift pattern at both our UK and Czech Republic sites, allowing us to support Shrink Wrapped packs, Product Bricks, Multi Media Kits, Hardware Kits, Country Kits etc. The highly trained operatives also carry out manual insertion and packaging assembly for processes requiring dexterity and are currently not able to be automated. For bill of materials accuracy the following Quality Control procedures have been developed and are implemented:

• The Bill of Materials (from the Works Order) and first off sample kit are validated by the Operator and Quality Controller, to ensure the assembled kit agrees with the kit specification.
• To ensure all components are automatically inserted, inline weigh checking and end of line weigh checking are in place on the High Speed Gathering and Shrink-wrapping lines.
• All components are bar code scanned prior to insertion into the assembled kit. This ensures the right items are inserted into the right kit, and allows for Thomson Litho's stock management system to be automatically updated.

Distribution
Due to the 'just-in-time' production of kits, Thomson Litho offers the secure and rapid distribution and delivery of assembled kits to the Client's manufacturing site or distribution centre. If desired, Thomson Litho can also distribute sub assemblies or even component parts to the Client or directly to the end-user, thus demonstrating a truly flexible solution from Thomson Litho. We offer a variety of distribution routes to ensure the right product reaches the right place at the right time. Thomson Litho has experience in providing distribution of bulk orders, of millions of items, as well as delivering one item orders to end-users.

Thomson Litho has developed partnerships with global distribution companies to provide secure delivery of product, including tracking and full traceability of delivery. Thomson Litho can despatch over 1000 different deliveries daily of all pint, media and kits, throughout EMEA and worldwide.
